Teaching English as a Foreign Language

Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificates are extremely useful.

Ever thought about emigrating to the continent, but are unsure of how to earn an income?
Perhaps you'd like to host foreign students visiting this country, and help them to improve their English?

In either case obtaining a TEFL certificate could be your answer. Many companies both in the UK & abroad require that you have a TEFL certificate before they give you work. From All Around the World can help you gain this certificate. We run weekend courses throughout the year to help you gain a TEFL certificate.

From All Around the World are involved in the placement of over one thousand foreign students per year in the UK. All of these students are looking to learn or improve their English. A good proportion of the students wish to do this within a family on a One to One basis.

We are always looking to add people who have the relevant skills to our database. We are also interested in helping people to gain a TEFL certification. This can be for use in association with From All Around the World, or out in the big wide world.

The Course
The basic TEFL qualification is gained by attending a 20-hour weekend course. Spread over Saturday & Sunday the course is structured to illustrate practical methodology in procedures and the skills you need in the classroom. Building confidence and skill in a comfortable, friendly environment, you will fast track your way to a TEFL certificate.

We currently have a number of TEFL courses provisionally booked. Spread across 2006, each course is fun, informative and relaxed. In groups of 8 - 12 people our course tutor will run through various activities demonstrating the skills you will need in teaching English.

Qualifications / Experience required
None - That’s right, we do not expect you to have any formal qualifications!! Whether you are 18 or 70 years old this course will suit all. We have people from all walks of life participating on our courses including students, teachers, solicitors, housewives & OAPs.

Post TEFL Course - what happens now?
If you book to do the course through fromallaroundtheworld & wish to work in this country we are interested. We run One to One courses where you host a foreign student for a set period, usually 13 nights. During the stay you will provide your student with tuition in English, together with a bed & meals. Further details on this program will be released in the coming weeks!

If you wish to travel the world that is also an option. The TEFL certificate obtained from module 1 will be acceptable for work overseas too. In the past year people qualifing from this course have found work in Thailand, Japan, Spain, Turkey, China, Australia & many other countries too.

If you wish to undertake further study you can also do this. We will be happy to deal with any enquiries you have, and help you achieve this goal.
