Learning a Foreign Language
In the UK we are about to undergo a shift of emphasis in language learning. The government is looking to introduce Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) into curriculum time in Primary Schools. At the same time the requirement to learn an MFL at Comprehensive level is to be removed. In essence children will be introduced to foreign languages as they enter Primary School NOT Comprehensive.

Children already learning English language skills will be picking up the same skills in a foreign language too. At this age the brain is at its most flexible, open to aquiring information easily. This philosophy is one which we have followed and are committed to.

We have linked up with The French Ecole to supply (where possible) native French speaking teachers to local schools. If this is not possible our teachers are carefully selected for their qualifications and accent. In this way we can teach children not only in the vocabulary of the language but also the correct tone & intonation required to communicate in France. Both The French Ecole & We Love Languages can supply to schools teachers of a variety of languages.

Foreign Language Books & Resources
To support & develop our MFL teaching we have developed an online bookstore. Sourcing over 1000 items in over 100 languages there is sure to be something to suit your desired languages. Not all of our products are books, we supply CD's, CD-ROM's, E-Books, Posters, & Puppets too. Catering for the needs of MFL students of all ages, and acting as a teaching resource.

Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)
Bringing students into the UK to learn English requires two basic conditions to be met. Firstly a home for the student to stay in & secondly certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. It is this requirement which these courses address.
Working with our partners Kristall we have available a number of weekend TEFL courses across the country. The course is 20 hours in length spread across both Saturday & Sunday. Intensive but at the same time relaxed and informative these courses are ideal for getting you onto the TEFL ladder. Once completed you can use your TEFL certificate to work in both the UK or abroad.
If you are interested in hosting students on a one to one basis but do not have a TEFL we recommend these courses. If you wish to TEFL in a group this certificate is the minimum requirement. If you are thinking about living abroad & taking advantage of your native tongue then this certificate will also be of use!

Hosting Foreign Students
Having worked for various agencies over a number of years we are in the process of introducing our own brand of hosting foreign students in the UK. Our philosophy is to create a link between host & student prior to that students arrival in the UK. In fact we aim to introduce a degree of choice for both the student & host family. The student will be able to choose a host with similar interests to their own, the host will be able to confirm when they are available and approve the visit of a prospective student.

Through this more open approach to hosting we believe that the experience of coming to the UK to learn English becomes as enjoyable & relevant as possible for the student, and allows the hosts to enjoy having students well matched to their own interests & background.

By introducing this range of choice together with a degree of automation in the process we can offer both host & student increased value for money. The only stipulation is that you fill out a registion form with us before you can choose your family or become a host.
